"Attending afterschool programs can improve students’ academic performance. A national evaluation found that over 40 percent of students attending 21st Century Community Learning Center programs improved their reading and math grades, and that those who attended more regularly were more likely to make gains "(Naftzger et. al., 2007).

Description: Our Full Service afterschool programs that operate throughout the entire school year, servicing youth grades K - 5, and encompass a broad range of focus areas including academic support, mentoring, youth development, arts, and sports and recreation.

Description: Digital Gametime gaming program is designed to allow youth the opportunity to bond, engage in technology, and enhance fundamental cognitive skills through interactive digital gaming.
Digital video gaming has been linked to the development of problem solving skills, and encourages players to analyze and develop strategies as they move through the game in pursuit of a goal. Continued exposure to challenges within video games allows players to become better at gathering information, weighing options, and formulating strategies necessary to solve problems (Adachi & Willoughby, 2017).
RAP ACADEMY

Description: Participants will learn how to create a hip hop song by participating in engaging exercises such as vocal warm-ups, production and writing exercises. They will walk away developing the fundamental aspects of song creation and performance. The session will encourage participants to discuss community concerns and the importance of advocacy among our youth. Rap Academy supports creative writing, social justice, literacy and entrepreneurship .
